After more than 7 years of operation, owners of R&B Studio announced its termination due to financial difficulties.

Among one of the first studios in Hong Kong to install Dolby SR on analog multi-track recorders and later the Sony digital 48-track, R&B Studio has been credited on a long list of successful and memorable albums including :
Capital Artists' Anita Mui, Andy Hui, Sammi Cheng & Edmond Leung, BMG's Cheng Ekin, Warner Music's Andy Lau, Music Factory's 'Queen's Road East' series and Anthony Wong, CAM (Stardust)'s various productions, numerous motion picture soundtracks and theme songs ... just to name a few.

As Hong Kong music industry's overall profit has dropped gradually over the past few years due to the increase of piracy and decline of the economy, many record companies are forced to minimize expenditure. R&B Studio thus had a hard time in keeping its business profitable and its service competitive by continuously investing in newer equipments.

Now, R&B is a name you'll only find in old album sleeves.
