Leslie Cheung

Leslie Cheung was born in Hong Kong in 1956. He received his education in England and started his career as singer and actor after he returned to Hong Kong in the mid-seventies. He became one of the most popular artists in the colony and has won numerous awards in both singing and acting categories. His films include John Woo's A Better Tomorrow I & II (1986, 1988), Tsui Hark and Ching Siu-tung's A Chinese Ghost Story I & II (1987, 1988), Stanley Kwan's Rouge (1988), Wong Kar-wai's Days of Being Wild (1990) and Ashes of Time (1994), Chen Kaige's Farewell My Concubine (1993) and Peter Chan's He's A Woman, She's A Man (1994). After Temptress Moon, he's set to appear in Peter Chan's Who's the Woman, Who's the Man, and Derek Yee's Viva Erotica.
